Come anticipato nei sottotitoli della prima pubblicazione apparsa nel 1991- Primo Volume – doveva necessariamente seguire un – Secondo Volume -.

Le armi d’ordinanza utilizzate nel modo dal 1841 al 1890 sono il soggetto di questo studio che è appunto il – Secondo  Volume -.

Impostato come il precedente, dopo alcune pagine introduttive, sono elencate in apposite schede oltre 200 modelli di armi lunghe corredate di oltre 500 fotografie in B/N inedite.

Se per il formato 22 x 31 con rilegatura telata e sovracopertina a colori, il testo non può essere definito come “Manuale”, questo è tuttavia rimasto lo spirito dello studio, dedicato a tutti coloro che per passione o per professione sono interessati a conoscere o identificare le armi da spalla per uso militare.

Il doppio indice per nazione e modelli nonché quello per marchi, codici e sigle… renderà più semplice la ricerca.

Il testo è redatto in lingua Italiana ed Inglese.

As already anticipated among the titles of the first book, edited in 1991, - First Volume -, it was natural that a second one might be expected.

Ordnance shoulder arms in service all over the world from 1841 up to 1890 are the subject of this research that actually is the – Second Volume -.

Planned like the former book, after few introducing pages, there are over 200 files describing in details as many models of rifles accompanied by over 500 B/W photos never published.

If by the format of 22 x 31 cm (8,7” x 12,2”), the cloth binding and full color covers, this book can not be classified as “Manual” this is anyway the spirit of the present research dedicated to the many who have interest in identifying military shoulder arms for collection as well professionally.

The double index by Nations and models and the list of markings, codes and  acronims will make easier the job.

The text is in Italian and English.
